Landing at DPS, step by step
A beginner's walk-through of arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS).
Keep these ready
- Passport
- Visa or approval
- All Indonesia QR
- Levy voucher, if it applies to you
- Accommodation address
- Some cash or a card
1. Deplane and follow signage
Follow the "Arrival/Kedatangan" signs from the gate towards immigration.
2. Choose the right visa lane
If you already hold an approved e-visa (C1/C2/KITAS telex), join the normal immigration queue with your passport and approval. If you are buying Visa on Arrival (B1), pay it first — at the VOA payment counter or online beforehand — then queue for immigration. Lane layout and signage can change, so follow airport staff on the day.
3. Immigration
Have your passport, visa/approval and All Indonesia QR ready. Expect a photo and fingerprints.
4. Baggage claim
Check the carousel screen for your flight number and keep your bag tag until you are through customs.
5. Customs
Show or hand over your All Indonesia declaration QR. Choose the red or green channel honestly, and never carry prohibited goods.
6. IMEI — only if it applies
No Customs IMEI registration is needed if you keep your foreign roaming. Tourists using an Indonesian SIM can instead register the handset at a mobile-operator outlet for network access for up to 90 days (official: beacukai.go.id/faq-impor-registrasi-imei).
7. Getting connected
Buy an official operator SIM or eSIM at an authorised counter — never from a tout in the terminal.
8. Transport pickup
A pre-booked VISIO or hotel driver meets you at the arrival hall with a name board. Grab, Gojek and Bluebird have designated pickup points. Ignore anyone shouting "taxi" inside the terminal.
Official processes at the airport can change — always follow the signage and staff instructions on the day.
Requirements change — Visio can check the current rule for your case.Last verified 17 Aug 2026.
