Before you fly

A practical checklist to sort out before you board — most of it takes minutes.

Documents

  • Passport and visa/approval

Check passport validity against your visa's rules, and carry both a printed and a saved digital copy of your visa or approval.

  • All Indonesia arrival declaration

Complete it from 3 days before arrival at allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id — it covers immigration, customs, health and quarantine in one form. Save the QR it gives you.

  • Bali tourist levy

IDR 150,000 per foreign tourist, paid via lovebali.baliprov.go.id. Some categories such as KITAS/KITAP may be exempt — check the official FAQ for your case.

  • Onward or return ticket

If your visa requires it, keep proof of an onward or return ticket ready to show.

  • Accommodation details

Save your accommodation's name and address offline, in case you are asked or lose signal.

Health & money

  • Travel insurance

Arrange cover before you fly and keep the policy number and emergency line handy.

  • Medication

Bring a prescription or doctor's letter for any medication, especially controlled ones.

Digital prep

  • App Wallet and Offline Pack

Add screenshots, PDFs and QR codes of your documents to this app's Wallet and Offline Pack before you leave.

  • Install ride apps

Install Grab, Gojek and Bluebird before landing so they are ready the moment you arrive.

  • Roaming, eSIM or local SIM

Decide your connectivity plan before takeoff — roaming, an eSIM, or buying a local SIM on arrival.

  • Save key contacts

Save the VISIO WhatsApp contact and local emergency numbers before you fly.

Packing practicals

  • Power

Bali uses type C/F plugs at 230V. Pack a power bank in your cabin bag, not checked luggage.

  • Sun and mosquitoes

Bring reef-safe sun protection and mosquito repellent, plus light long sleeves and a sarong for temples.
